Memory theaters

I’ve just read Natasha Mostert’s book “Season Of Witch”. That was, damn, cool!!! Great book, guys, really. Well, being a sociologist by my first degree, I found deadly  interesting the idea of “Memory theaters” o “The theaters of memory”. The main idea is in building your memory as a computer system, but depending on images or signs which are pretty bright. For example, the monk, cutting out his own eyes, or a room filled with  broken violins. So, you create the rooms. Thousands and millions rooms, connecting your own memories with those signs.  This technique allows to remember a billions of facts. The brilliant idea, I think. In ideal, you can create your own “Palace of memories”.

P.S. “The art of Memory” of Frances Yates is about.
